Sarah Richards
Based in Cardiff, Sarah takes her influences from the British landscape painters of the mid 20th Century, such as Peter Lanyon, Ben Nicholson, Graham Sutherland and Paul Nash, as well as international painters such as Georges Braque, Edouard Vuillard and Paul Klee. Using an evocative colour palette and abstracting the landscape, Sarah's carefully constructed paintings echo the evolution of the British industrial coastline. She teaches part time at Cardiff Open Art School at UWIC's School of Art and Design. Sarah has exhibited in London, Japan and Wales and has work in many collections including The National Library of Wales, Aberystwyth and Companies House, Cardiff.
